HEINEKEN EXPERIENCE – Brouwerskamer
The Heineken Experience is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Amsterdam and you’d probably come here attending a large event. But in the historical brewery we also find one of the most special meeting spaces of Amsterdam. The Brouwerskamer (Brewery Room) is the place where the Heineken board used to meet and where the original bookkeeping files are still kept. The beautiful library and portraits from the old master brewers provide your meeting with an unprecedented grandeur and intimacy. And of course, cold beer on draft!
PLLEK
Most locals are familiar with Pllek by now. It’s one of the most relaxed urban beaches which provides a place to escape the city’s hustle and bustle. The location is built up from sea containers and recycled materials, which make it fit in seamlessly with the raw and industrial setting of the NDSM-wharf. Moreover, Pllek has a great space available for meetings and events. With its very own outdoors space right next to the IJ, a pleasant little beach and a great view of the skyline of Amsterdam. ARTIS – Huize Welgelegen
It’s one of those spots in the city that everyone knows, but never ceases to surprise you: ARTIS. Though the zoo is situated right in the city centre, at ARTIS you’re surrounded by nature. The oldest zoo of the Netherlands is full off beautiful monumental animal housings and other listed buildings such as the magnificent Ledenlokalen (Member Rooms), available for meetings and events. Tip from our editorial staff: visit Huize Welgelegen (Welgelgen Residence), an authentic 18th century residence in the park where ARTIS employees used to live and is now available for your event.
WATERVILLA EXCELLENT – Varend terras
What better place to experience Amsterdam than from the water? The meeting venue Watervilla Excellent is beautifully situated on the widest part of the river Amstel. The view of the water through the 21-meter-long set of windows is magnificent, but the real eyecatcher is the terrace at the backside of the location. This terrace (from Provlot) can be detached and piloted over the river Amstel with your party. How great is it to detach the terrace after a brainstorm session and really set off the meeting?
HAARLEMMERMEERSTATION
Haarlemmermeerstation hasn’t actually been in use since the 50s, yet the old station building is still perfectly accessible. The location has a beautiful hall suitable for parties, but it can be used as a meeting space as well. At the backside, the station has a large partly covered terrace. But the best thing about this venue is the old tram line that runs right next to the terrace. Let the historic tram pick you up somewhere and bring you here. Or surprise your guests with a very special lunch in an old tram while it drives around the city!
