In past times, this is where munitions were manufactured and tested in the utmost secrecy. Today, the site is home to Taets Art and Event park – a unique event venue in the Amsterdam area. An impressive piece of industrial heritage that has grown into a vast, multifunctional event space. In the spacious and historical environment of Taets Art and Event Park you will experience a special and inspiring atmosphere. This spectacular site at the water, with almost infinite possibilities, is suited for a wide range of events. From design fairs, multi-day corporate events, product presentations, car shows, congresses, fashion shows and staff parties, to intimate dinners, meetings, lunches, concerts, and television recordings.
Spread across three unique buildings and connected by a glass walkway, Taets Art and Event Park offers no less than 10.000 square meters of floor space. The three classic national monuments, with twenty different halls, are surrounded by a large Event Garden. Taets has a combined capacity of 10-7000 people.
UNESCO World Heritage
The park is a part of the historical Hembrugterrein, the military heart of the ‘Stelling van Amsterdam’, a defense line which consists of 46 forts, batteries, locks and dykes. The terrain is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage. The Hembrugterrein is currently being developed into the latest creative hotspot of the Amsterdam area. Taets Art and Event Park contributes to this development with a wide range of events. Whether it be grand and spectacular or small and intimate. Exciting and adventurous or classic. Two stylish halls can be found in the classic Building 41. On the ground floor, in the Gallery, your guests enjoy contemporary art and a view of the North Sea Canal. This hall is fitted with a modern bar, led-lighting in the ceiling, mood lighting, two plasma screens and a small sound system which can be used for speeches or background music. The Theater is located on the second floor: a stately, classic hall with an original theater and spectacular view. This venue, with its 350 square meters of floor space, is well suited to host meetings, product presentations, dinners and parties. This hall is also fitted with led-lighting and mood lighting, and it’s equipped with a fancy bar. In addition, there’s a large stage with curtains.
Stylish and Industrial
Building 43 has an elegant industrial event area on the ground floor, which is reminiscent of the history of the terrain. The 19th century building construction, which consists of cast-iron columns, a contemporary natural stones floor and a wooden beam ceiling, provide this hall with an unmatched ambiance. The meeting area is on the top floor, with eight stylish meeting rooms, their capacities ranging from 10-80 persons. Here, too, anything is possible: each meeting room is fitted with your desired setup of chairs and tables.
Flexibility of Space
Taets also offers a spectacular black box in hall 1, which provides numerous possibilities for big events such as staff parties, exchange fairs, big shows and TV-recordings. The large outside area, the Garden, allows for combinations with indoor and outdoor activities. The location can be decorated in any desired style for branding. With no less than 500 private parking spots and a private quay, this is a unique venue, situated at the ring road of Amsterdam – and not far from Schiphol Airport, so it’s also very accessible.
