Versatile and Sustainable Event Venue at the Heart of ‘t Gooi

In the woody Bussum-area, at the heart of ‘t Gooi, lies one of the most versatile event venues of the Randstad. At Spant no two events are ever the same. With two theater halls, three spacious lobbies and numerous sub-rooms, the combinations are endless.
Many Dutch people know Spant because of its history as the backdrop for some famous Dutch television shows. But Spant stayed in tune with the times and expanded and developed into a flexible congress and event venue. In 2011, the board took over the operation of the venue from the municipality, making it the first independent theater of the Netherlands. The event venue is also a pioneer in sustainable entrepreneurship; every event at Spant is carbon-neutral since 2014.
Spectacular Entrance
Spant is a modern building inside and out. The various rooms are spacious with sleek design and fitted with the latest audiovisual technologies. After entering the venue, the first thing that catches the eye is the Heinekenplein (‘Heineken Square’). This largest catering room of the building is a bright and spacious hall; usually furnished with standing tables and seats, but it’s also suitable for exchanges and networking events. The Heinekenplein was recently fitted with a new sound-absorbing roof, so it no longer suffers from echo noises in the large hall. From this central hall there are various routes to take. The first leads to theater hall stage two, the former home of a famous Dutch TV show. This room is more intimate than the main theater hall and as such it’s very suitable for presentations for groups up to 220 people. Following the second route, on the other side of the room we find six meeting rooms which can be used individually or as interconnecting rooms. These rooms can also be connected to the neighboring Heinekenplein.
Endless Variations
The third route leads to the grand theater hall and the accompanying lobbies. Stage one is the absolute eye-catcher of Spant: an upwards sloping room with seats for 780 persons. On top of the perfect acoustics, the high-tech lighting and audio equipment; the flexibility is what makes this room really special. There are endless variations to be made with the decoration and the arrangement of the room.
The height of the slopes is adjustable and the number of seats can be expanded to 1230 by means of an added stage. By doing so, an arena is created in which the speaker is at the center of the room, thus increasing the interaction with the crowd. In addition, the seats in the front row can be removed to match the number of guests expected at the event.
Because everything in this room is adjustable, it’s easy to add an element of surprise to the event. Imagine a presentation and following discussion in the arena-setting, after which the curtain behind the speaker rises and reveals a long laid table.

The theater room stretches across three floors and is surrounded by a lobby and a neighboring meeting room on the second and third floor. These two lobbies are fitted as catering rooms, each has its own atmosphere. Just like the other rooms the lobbies are flexible in setup.
A Contemporary Stage
Spant is situated centrally in the Randstad, near highway A1, and boasts a private parking lot right in front of the venue. Additionally, it is easily accessible by public transport. The location is very flexible from room setup to decoration. At the request of guests the venue can be decorated with furniture in corporate colors, or even furniture covered with stickers in the logo of the company that hosts the event.
With a great variety in rooms, easily adjustable setups and all the necessary audiovisual technology; Spant offers a contemporary stage for every business event.
